    What's Happening to Our Bees?

    Join us on Wednesday, October 22 for a presentation by Len and Julie Hart with Peter Delaney, of the Essex County Beekeepers Association, to learn more about this problem.

    Refreshments at 6:30 pm and presentation at 7:00 pm.

    This program is co-sponsored by The Saugus Garden club and the New Friends of the Saugus Public Library.


    Halloween at the Library

    Join us on the Thursday October 30 at 6:30 pm for "Somewhat Scary Stories", for ages 4 and up.



    Then on Friday October 31 there will be a Halloween Drop-In Craft. All ages! All day!


    SuperSnacks for SuperTeens

    Join us on Tuesday October 28 at 4 pm. when Chef Liz Barbour of The Creative Feast will demonstrate how to prepare delicious snacks combining healthy ingredients using recipes anyone can make. SuperFood never tasted so good.

    Enjoy a cooking demonstration of two delicious recipes and sampling!

    Saugus Digital Documents are Accessible on the Internet Archive

    The Internet Archive is a collection of cultural artifacts in digital form. The Archive preserves the originals while making them available at the click of a mouse.

    High School and Middle School Yearbooks, Annual Reports, Lists of Persons and other Town Documents are available.

    The project was Federally funded through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Scanning was done by the Digital Services Department of the Boston Public Library. All documents will eventually reside on the Digital Commonwealth.


    Resume Assistance

    Are you looking for a job? If you would like some help in making your resume look more attractive to potential employers, drafting a cover letter, or just want someone to proofread your resume and cover letter, you can schedule an appointment with a staff member for a Monday or Tuesday evening between 4-7 p.m. Call 781-231-4168 ext. 16 to schedule a time. Please bring your resume with you at the time of your appointment.

    Museum Passes

    The library has passes to the Children’s Museum, the Museum of Science,the Museum of Fine Arts, the Peabody Essex Museum and Zoo New England.

    Did you know the Library offers Home Delivery?

    The library delivers materials to homebound Saugus residents. Books, audio-books, magazines, music and DVDs are all available. If you are unable to get to the library, either temporarily or permanently and would like delivery, please contact the library to request this free service or to learn more about it.
